Welcome to the best little blog on Malawi!!

Dear Friends and Family,

This is a blog about my upcoming year abroad to study public health in Malawi through a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. I will be studying at the University of Malawi Medical College in Blantyre and volunteering with the Millennium Villages Project in Mwandama, just outside of Zomba, which is about an hour away from Blantyre.

I am keeping this blog to stay up to date on news and events, document my travels, keep in touch and also to create an information exchange. Feel free to post anything you find about Malawi in the press so that the blog can also help us learn more about Malawi and the region.

Here are some important news links for the time being:

Hi Aparna! I'm Tracy, and DeWan from Neighborhood Healthcare shared with me your blog. I'm a high school student, but I would love to participate somehow in an international medical mission like yours. How did you get started? Could you, or do you know anyone who might be able to, guide me in the right direction? My e-mail is han.tracy@gmail.com. Thank you so much! Best of luck with your travels!
